Hello my beautiful people, hoping you are having a great time and remember to stay warm, fall is here 😉

I was crazy to share with you guys my recent trip to San Francisco and Napa Valley.

We landed in San Francisco and I don’t know about you, but when I visit a city the first time After 10 minutes out of the airport I can hate it or love it, in my humble opinion San Francisco is the must beautiful city of United States, is sophisticated, international and magnificent.

The first day we walked around and after a light lunch we drove for 2 hours to Napa Valley, were we had the most amazing wine tasting experience, visiting Alpha Omega, Cakebread and Silver Oak vineyards, seeing the harvest season in person was priceless!

After 2 nights in paradise we drove back to magnificent San Francisco, If planning to go to Napa I think a day trip or 2 nights is more than enough, after visiting 2 vineyards a day by 5 p.m. I was drunk in bed

Where to Stay and Eat in Napa Valley: Las Alcobas is a beautiful boutique hotel and has one of the best restaurant of the area: Acacia House by Chris Consentino.

Another restaurants you don’t want to miss out: Auberge du Soleil, Archetype, Brasswood Restaurant.

What to do in Napa? Plan in advanced a very nice tour around the vineyards and another option to enjoy the Valley is the tour through the vineyards on the Napa Wine Train, is a must you won’t regret!

From peaceful Napa and after 2 hours drive we were back to cosmopolita San Francisco, it was mid September and weather was cold, but don’t worry walking through the hills will warm you up

We wanted to do the Segway tour, and if at the beginning I was nervous and scared, after 15 min I was feeling the queen of the wheels, is amazing how you drive just with the your body! I think that was one of my best experience ever, never say never! And open your mind to try and do different things.

The next day we planned to go to the most scary and at the time the most safe prison in USA, Alcatraz, was amazing seeing in the distance where the most dangerous delinquent stayed, imagine walking in front of Al Capone cell!

After the tour we were so cold, imagine the next stop…yes, Ghirardelli Chocolate Factory, a delightful full of calories hot chocolate well deserved.

Where to Stay in San Francisco: if you have a budget I highly recommend to stay at The Ritz, the building is so beautiful and the rooms are so modern and renovated!

Where to eat: We had a great dinner at Waterfront Restaurant and also went to eat Chinese to Z&Y Restaurant (If going there be on time, otherwise the waiting time will be too long)

More recommendations: visit China Town, is one of the biggest community in the world outside China. As an anecdote, Fortune cookies were discovered in San Francisco in 1914, and also walk around Fishermans Wharf.

What a trip! I am looking forward to go back!

Bienvenidos a la ciudad más bella de los Estados Unidos!

Es una ciudad impregnada de arte, de belleza y de las calles con más colinas que hayáis visto, pero tiene algo especial, como podéis imaginar los tacones solo se verán bien en fotos, vuestros mejores amigos serán un buen par de deportivas, la mejor manera de patearos la ciudad y ni morir en el intento.

Con los años y los viajes, después de 10 minutos en una ciudad la puedo odiar o amar, y con esta ciudad me pasó algo raro; A los 5 minutos ya estaba enamorada, el primer día fue aterrizar, caminar por el centro y almorzar, para continuar nuestro camino hacia El Valle de Napa, donde nos esperaban tres días llenos de catas de vino, y mucho tiempo de relajación.

Lo único que teníamos concertado eran las visitas a tres de los viñedos más visitados: Alpha Omega, Silver Oak y Cakebread, no soy una persona que le encante el vino tinto, pero encontré algunas opciones realmente apetecibles, de hecho compramos más botellas de las que podamos beber en los próximos meses.

Dónde alojarse y dónde comer en Napa? Elegimos las delicias del hotel boutique Las Alcobas, bien localizado y con unas vistas de ensueño hacia el viñedo del hotel, un lugar clave para degustar de los productos de la zona en el restaurante Acacia House by Chris Consentino, otros restaurante que os invito a descubrir: Auberge du Soleil, Archetype, Brasswood Restaurant.

Y después de bebernos Napa sorbo a sorbo llegó el momento de volver a San Francisco, una ciudad que engancha desde el primer momento, antes de llegar hicimos reserva para hacer el tour por la ciudad desde el Segway y para visitar la cárcel en su momento más segura: Alcatraz (imaginaros paseando cerca de la celda de Al Capone)

Como anécdota os cuento que estuve a punto de cancelar el tour por la ciudad, cuando vi el Segway, era mi primera vez, gracias que estoy en momento de mi vida que me apetece hacer cosas nuevas, aunque a primera instancia me daba respeto, al final me convertí en una profesional de las dos ruedas! pese al frío fue una experiencia inolvidable.

Dónde alojarse y comer en San Francisco: Si tenéis presupuesto os recomiendo el Hotel Ritz, es un edificio espectacular y desde el que podréis is andando hasta China Town y el centro. Para comer os recomiendo:

Waterfront Restaurant y el restaurante chino nada lujoso, pero muy demandado Z&Y Restaurant (No olvideis reservar con antelación, hay fila en la entrada).

Más recomendaciones: tenéis que visitar China Town, es una de las comunidades mas grandes del mundo fuera de China, como anécdota os cuento que las galletas de la Fortuna fueron descubierta en San Francisco en 1914, y que no se os olvide visitar el muelle de los pescadores, donde podréis comer el mejor marisco de la ciudad.
